When I first saw the name I remembered the original "Web Matrix" (with a space) from back in about 2002 or so, which was the predecessor to Visual Web Developer. Not sure why Microsoft decided to recycle an old name, but "WebMatrix" is a new product, and although still in Beta it is quite an interesting tool. That’s the strangest thing!
