Basics needed for Getting Started with ASP.Net

You need:
The DotNet Framework (available here)
An operating system that can handle it (Win2kPro or Server w/SP2, WinXPPro or Win .Net Server)
Then, any text editor(Notepad/ASP Express, etc) can get you started with development
